Buying a car?

Get the seller to sign an AutoAgreement™
- they'll think twice about telling you porkies...

Any vehicle must be sold to you ‘as described’ under the Sale of Goods Act (1979). If the seller provides an inaccurate or untruthful description of the vehicle - he/she is breaking the law.

The Act is there to protect you as a buyer but is hard to use. A description of a vehicle is often given verbally by the seller and is hard to prove at a later date.

'If you can show that the vehicle did not meet its description, the seller will be liable. It will strengthen your claim if you have written proof of false statement' (Consumer Advice Bureau)

An AutoAgreement™ is the documented proof, signed by the seller of the vehicle

  1. View and check the vehicle as normal

  2. When you have agreed the deal, get the seller to sign your AutoAgreement™

  3. Compete the payment and DVLA registration as normal

If the seller refuses to sign, think twice about parting with your money

No signed AutoAgreementTM

No proof for the Sale of Goods Act

So walk away from the vehicle

NEW! Selling your current vehicle?
AutoAgreement.com now includes a vehicle test-drive agreement. This gives you signed and documented proof that the potential buyer of your vehicle claimed sufficient licence, insurance and agreed responsibility for your vehicle whilst taking it for a test-drive.
